Best Options for 2026 World Cup Futures

World Cup Tournament Futures

The World Cup is coming to North America, starting next week on June 11 through July 19. In 2022, Argentina defeated France in the final, though French forward Kylian Mbappe won the Golden Boot award, netting a total of eight goals.

For the first time, there will be 48 teams split into 12 groups. Teams play three group stage matches. After the group stage, teams will compete in a single-elimination knockout tournament.

Sharp bettors won’t wait until the tournament to bet individual matches. They will head to the future bets, which we’ll bring up now.

(odds from DraftKings)

1)Pick the World Cup Winner.

Brazil (+850) leads in World Cup titles with five. Spain and France are the favorites (+475), followed by England (+750) and Brazil (+850). The last winner, Argentina, is +900. The last back-to-back winner was Brazil in 1962.

  • Spain has the elite midfield, depth and recent tournament form.
  • France has the superstars, depth, and tournament experience.
  • For a solid long shot, Portugal is +1000 to win the World Cup. Cristian Ronaldo, at 41, is the oldest outfield player called up for the tournament. But they also have a stellar midfield cast.

2)Pick the Group Winners.

The favorites dominate most of the groups. Mexico is a short favorite (-115) to win Group A. It doesn’t hurt that they are also playing in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

Switzerland is -135 to win Group B, while Canada (+200) is also one of the host countries along with the U.S. and Mexico.

The USA is picked to win Group D (+140), with Turkey (+175), Paraguay (+400), and Australia (+800).

3)You can pick teams to reach quarterfinals, semifinals or the final.

Portugal, to reach the Final, is +500. Spain is the top choice there at +220, while France is +275 and England is +300.

4)You pick the Golden Boot (top scorer).

The last winner, Mbappe (+600), is the favorite, while Harry Kane (England) is the second favorite at +700. A long shot would be Lionel Messi (+1600) from Argentina, along with Ronaldo (+2200). His Portuguese countryman, Bruno Fernandes (+500).

5)USA props.

There are many aside from their first match odds against Paraguay on June 12.

USA to win the World Cup (+6000)
