Yes. Since the 2026 season is just getting underway, this is a good time to look at season-long college football futures, particularly player awards.

Heisman Tropy

Prices vary substantially by sportsbook, which is especially important with futures. Current markets (DraftKings) have CJ Carr from Notre Dame at +700 as the Heisman favorite, followed by players including Arch Manning, Dante Moore, Julian Sayin, and Jeremiah Smith.

Here are the candidates:

1. Sam Leavitt, LSU — (+2000)

This is probably my favorite combination of price and upside. Leavitt moves into a Lane Kiffin/Charlie Weis Jr. offense after accumulating 4,652 career passing yards, 816 rushing yards and 46 total TDs. LSU also strengthened the offensive line and added receiving weapons.

2. Julian Sayin, Ohio State — (+1200)

Sayin is one of the safer bets because Ohio State should provide both statistics and victories. He completed 77% of his passes last season and posted a 92.9 PFF grade, according to Sporting News’ preseason futures analysis.

And he gets perhaps the nation’s best receiver in Jeremiah Smith.

The concern is actually Smith himself: they could split Heisman votes. But quarterbacks have a structural advantage in this award.

3. Dante Moore, Oregon — Heisman (+1100)

Moore posted a 90.2 PFF passing grade last year and returns to an Oregon offense loaded with skill talent.

There is also a powerful futures correlation:

Dante Moore Heisman + Oregon national championship.

Oregon is currently around +750 to win the national championship. If Oregon is undefeated or 11-1 entering the Big Ten title game, Moore will probably be sitting near the top of the Heisman board.

4. Marcel Reed, Texas A&M —  (+3000)

Reed produced 3,169 passing yards, 31 total TDs and 493 rushing yards in 2025.  

Dual-threat quarterbacks are particularly attractive because 500-700 rushing yards and 8-10 rushing touchdowns can dramatically boost the statistical résumé.

5. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State —  (+1400)

Here’s the fascinating non-QB bet.

Smith led Power Four receivers with 1,243 receiving yards last season and returns to what could be college football’s best offense.

The problem isn’t talent. It’s position.

A receiver generally needs an extraordinary season to beat the top quarterbacks. I’d want something like:

1,400+ yards
15+ TDs
Ohio State in CFP contention
Multiple huge performances in marquee games.

6. Drew Mestemaker, Oklahoma State — Heisman (+5000 range)

This is my lottery-ticket candidate.

Mestemaker threw for an FBS-leading 4,379 yards and 34 TDs at North Texas last season, including an incredible 608-yard game. He followed coach Eric Morris to Oklahoma State, along with much of the offensive infrastructure.

The obstacle is Oklahoma State’s record. He probably needs the Cowboys in the Big 12 championship race to have a realistic shot.

7. Malachi Toney, Miami — Heisman (+3500/+4000)

Toney had 1,211 receiving yards as a freshman, including an FBS-leading 841 yards after the catch, according to Sporting News. Miami is also the current ACC favorite.

If Miami wins 11+ games and Toney explodes statistically, he’ll get national attention.

Arch Manning +750 

The talent is obvious. The price isn’t. Texas faces a difficult schedule, including major games against Ohio State, Tennessee, Missouri, LSU, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
