Sunday’s NFL Betting Previews

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS AT MIAMI DOLPHINS

Opening: Kansas City -9 | Total 44.5

Current: Kansas City -10.5 | Total 45.5.

Last game — Kansas City: The Chiefs improved to 2-0 with a 33-30 overtime win over Indianapolis. Patrick Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2.

Last game — Miami: Miami fell to 0-2 after losing 35-13 at San Francisco. The Dolphins struggled to protect Malik Willis and again had difficulty sustaining offense.

QB Matchup — Patrick Mahomes vs. Malik Willis Mahomes: 566 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT, 103.8 rating through two games. Willis: 417 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, but he has already been sacked nine times. This is one of Sunday’s biggest quarterback gaps.

Willis has athletic ability and can create outside structure, but Miami cannot put him into 35-plus drop backs against Kansas City’s pressure packages.

Offense vs. Defense Miami’s biggest issue is protection. Kansas City doesn’t need to blitz constantly to affect quarterbacks, particularly if Chris Jones is available. The Dolphins’ best formula is the run game plus designed movement for Willis. If Miami falls behind by 10-14 points and has to become one-dimensional, the matchup strongly favors Kansas City. They will also need to slow down Kenneth Walker III and the Chiefs’ improved running game. On the other side, Miami’s defense has to stop Mahomes’ explosives without abandoning underneath coverage.

Key Injuries Kansas City: LT Josh Simmons (back) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday; DT Chris Jones (calf) and CB L’Jarius Sneed (knee) were limited. Mahomes was a full participant despite a knee listing.

Miami: The Dolphins remain depleted and are trying to stabilize an offense that has struggled through two games.

ATS Trends

• Miami is 6-0 ATS in its last six home games vs. teams with winning road records.

• Home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.

• Chiefs are 7-0 Under after gaining 350+ yards in their previous game.

• Miami is 5-1 ATS in its last six Week 3 games.

CAROLINA PANTHERS AT CLEVELAND BROWNS

Opening: Carolina -3 | Total 40 Current: Carolina -2.5 | Total 42.5.

Carolina last game: The Panthers destroyed Atlanta 34-3 after allowing 59 points to Chicago in Week 1. Bryce Young has now produced six touchdown passes through two games.

Cleveland last game: The Browns upset Tampa Bay 23-19. Deshaun Watson completed 24 of 30 for 238 yards and two TDs.

QB Matchup — Bryce Young vs. Deshaun Watson

Young: 648 yards, 6 TD, 1 INT, 113.3 rating.

Watson: 443 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 76.9% completions, 112.9 rating.

Young has been significantly more explosive; Watson has been surprisingly efficient but has already taken seven sacks.

Offense vs. Defense Carolina wants to push the ball downfield against a Cleveland secondary that can give up explosives when its pass rush doesn’t arrive. Cleveland’s offense needs to stay balanced. The Browns are averaging only 65.5 rushing yards per game, making it difficult to protect Watson through play action. Carolina’s biggest defensive assignment is preventing Watson from staying ahead of schedule with short, efficient completions.

Key Injuries Carolina: RB Jonathon Brooks is out. Cleveland: Offensive-line availability remains important after Watson was pressured heavily early this season.

ATS Trends

• Cleveland is 6-17-2 ATS after a straight-up win since 2022.

• Browns are 2-11-1 ATS as an underdog following a SU win in that span.

• Carolina is 7-1 ATS in its last eight Week 3 games.

• Underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.

TENNESSEE TITANS AT NEW YORK GIANTS

Opening: Giants -6 | Total 43.5 Current: Giants -2.5 | Total 38

Tennessee last game: The Titans led Philadelphia much of the game before losing 24-20.

Giants last game: New York was beaten 28-6 by the Rams Monday night and lost starting QB Jaxson Dart for the season to a knee injury.

QB Matchup — Cam Ward vs. Jameis Winston Ward has struggled with accuracy and efficiency through two weeks; among qualifying passers he ranks near the bottom in yards per attempt and catchable throw rate. Winston takes over after going 11-of-27 for 111 yards and an interception in relief of Dart.

Offense vs. Defense This is a fascinating bad-offense/bad-pass-defense matchup. Ward has struggled, but the Giants have allowed one of the league’s highest passing success rates. Tennessee should give Ward opportunities for efficient throws if protection holds. New York needs Winston to push the ball vertically without turning the game into a turnover contest.

Key Injuries Giants: Jaxson Dart — season-ending knee injury.

ATS Trends

• Road team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.

• Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings.

• Giants are 4-0-1 Under in their last five Week 3 games.

• Titans’ last four road games have gone Over.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS AT JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Opening: Jacksonville -2.5 | Total 45.5

Current: Jacksonville -3 | Total 46

New England last game: The Patriots beat Pittsburgh 20-3, winning primarily with defense.

Jacksonville last game: Jacksonville lost 20-13 at Denver after opening with a dominant 34-10 win over Cleveland.

QB Matchup — Drake Maye vs. Trevor Lawrence

Maye: 386 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT, 63.1 rating.

Lawrence: 434 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT, 110.6 rating.

Offense vs. Defense

New England’s offense has to protect Maye from Jacksonville’s pass rush. Four interceptions through two games are a major concern against a defense built to generate pressure.

Jacksonville’s best matchup is Lawrence throwing on early downs rather than continually facing third-and-long.

Key Injuries NE: DT Dre’Mont Jones (shoulder) is ?

Jax: C Robert Hainsey (elbow/groin) and C Cole Van Lanen (knee) are ?

ATS Trends

• Patriots are 6-0 ATS in their last six as road underdogs.

• Patriots are 6-1 ATS in their last seven AFC games.

• Jaguars are 6-1 ATS in their last seven as favorites.

• Home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings.

• New England is 4-0 Under in its last four overall.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS AT BUFFALO BILLS

Opening: Buffalo -4 | Total 49.5

Current: Buffalo -7.5 | Total 50

Chargers last game: Los Angeles lost 26-14 to Las Vegas, its second consecutive 26-14 defeat.

Buffalo last game: Buffalo beat Detroit 41-31. Josh Allen threw three TDs and ran for two more while James Cook rushed for 134 yards.

QB Matchup — Justin Herbert vs. Josh Allen

Herbert: 401 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT, 71.6 rating.

Allen: 582 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 125.8 rating, plus four rushing TDs.

Offense vs. Defense Buffalo’s offense has been virtually impossible to keep out of the end zone. Allen’s ability to run changes red-zone math. The Chargers need to generate explosive passes because methodical drives against Buffalo leave too little margin for error.

Defensively, Los Angeles must prevent Allen from escaping after the initial rush.

Key Injuries Chargers: TEs David Njoku and Charlie Kolar are on IR; LG Kayode Awosika and DT Dalvin Tomlinson are concerns; Derwin James is playing with a protective thumb cast.

Buffalo: WR DJ Moore (AC joint) and DT Ed Oliver (hip) are being monitored.

ATS Trends

• Chargers are 5-0 Under in their last five games.

• Bills are 4-0 ATS after allowing fewer than 90 rushing yards.

• Chargers are 4-0 Under following a straight-up loss.

NEW YORK JETS AT DETROIT LIONS

Opening: Detroit -7/Total 48

Current: Detroit -6.5 | Total 48

Jets last game: New York blew a 17-7 fourth-quarter lead and lost 20-17 in overtime to Green Bay.

Detroit last game: The Lions lost 41-31 at Buffalo despite another productive offensive day.

QB Matchup — Geno Smith vs. Jared Goff

Smith: 462 yards, 70.8%, 1 TD, 0 INT.

Goff: 533 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT, 113.2 rating.

Offense vs. Defense Detroit is averaging 31 points per game, but its defense is surrendering 35.5 points and 457.5 yards per game. That makes this an appealing matchup for Geno Smith, Garrett Wilson and the Jets’ passing attack. Detroit’s counter is Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown against a Jets defense coached by former Lions DC Aaron Glenn.

Key Injuries Detroit: The secondary has been hit hard, including the season-ending loss of Avonte Maddox. Jets: TE Mason Taylor is doubtful/out.

ATS Trends

• Lions are 8-0 ATS in their last eight Week 3 games.

• Underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.

• Lions are 7-2 Over in their last nine overall.

• Jets are 5-1 Over in their last six overall.

HOUSTON TEXANS AT INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Opening: Houston -2.5 | Total 44.5

Current: Houston -1.5 | Total 42.5.

Houston last game: The Texans lost 20-6 to Cincinnati, falling to 0-2. Indianapolis last game: The Colts pushed Kansas City into overtime before losing 33-30.

QB Matchup — C.J. Stroud vs. Daniel Jones

Stroud: 627 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, but only a 60.2% completion rate and seven sacks taken.

Jones has been operating a Colts offense that looked considerably better against Kansas City than in the opener.

Offense vs. Defense Houston’s offense has moved the ball but has struggled finishing drives. The absence of Nico Collins is especially important because it removes Stroud’s primary field-stretching target. Indianapolis wants to attack Houston with balance rather than letting the Texans unleash Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter.

2025 Meeting These divisional teams met twice. The most recent game was Houston 38, Indianapolis 30 in Week 18. In the first game, Houston edged Indy 20-16.

Key Injuries Houston: WR Nico Collins is out/not expected to play.

Indianapolis: WR Alec Pierce is headed to injured reserve with a heel injury.

ATS Trends

• Underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.

• Houston is 5-0 ATS after a double-digit home loss.

• Texans are 8-1 ATS after gaining 350+ yards in their previous game.

• Houston is 5-1 Under in its last six road games.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS AT WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

Opening: Seattle -2 | Total 41.5

Current: Seattle -7.5 | Total 40

Seattle last game: Seattle crushed Arizona 31-7 and improved to 2-0.

Washington last game: The Commanders lost 37-20 at Dallas and lost Jayden Daniels to a dislocated elbow.

QB Matchup — Drew Lock vs. Marcus Mariota

Lock: 422 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT, 72.9%, 127.3 rating.

Mariota: 11-of-16, 111 yards, 1 TD in relief last week. Daniels is out.

Late news: Sam Darnold is expected to return from his hip injury for Seattle.

Offense vs. Defense Seattle’s defense ranks first in yards per play allowed, while Washington ranks near the bottom defensively and has allowed opponents to convert roughly 52% of third downs. Seattle doesn’t need Darnold be a hero in his first game back. Washington has to use Mariota’s legs to create numbers advantages and shorten the game.

2025 Meeting Seattle crushed Washington 38-14 on the road on Nov. 2

Key Injuries Washington: Jayden Daniels out with a dislocated elbow; RB Jadarian Price has a chest issue. Seattle:

ATS Trends

• Seattle is 14-4-1 ATS as a favorite since last season.

• Seattle is 9-1 ATS on the road in that span.

• Seahawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five as road favorites.

• Washington is 6-0-1 Over in its last seven as a home underdog.

CINCINNATI BENGALS AT PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Opening: Cincinnati -2.5 | Total 46

Current: Cincinnati -3.5 | Total 42.5.

Cincinnati last game: The Bengals beat Houston 20-6 and moved to 2-0.

Pittsburgh last game: The Steelers were held to 3 points in a 20-3 loss at New England.

QB Matchup — Joe Burrow vs. Aaron Rodgers

Burrow: 461 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 68.2%.

Rodgers directs an offense averaging only 175 passing yards per game, fourth-lowest through two weeks.

Offense vs. Defense Pittsburgh’s offense has yet to reach 300 yards in either game and averages only 11.5 points. That puts tremendous pressure on the defense to keep Burrow from creating a two-score lead.

Cincinnati’s offensive line must still handle Pittsburgh’s pressure, but the Bengals have a significant passing-game edge. 2025 Meetings Cincinnati won the first 33-31. Pittsburgh won the rematch 34-12.

Key Injuries Pittsburgh CB Joey Porter Jr. has yet to play this season, and his availability remains a major concern against Cincinnati’s receiving corps.

ATS Trends

• Cincinnati is 4-0 ATS in its last four road games.

• Steelers are 4-0 ATS in their last four as home favorites.

• Bengals are 6-1 ATS after allowing 350+ yards.

• Under is 5-1-1 in Pittsburgh’s last seven home games.

4:05 PM ET ARIZONA CARDINALS AT SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Opening: San Francisco -8.5 | Total 48.5

Current: San Francisco -9 | 48.5.

Arizona last game: Arizona was routed 31-7 by Seattle.

San Francisco last game: The 49ers demolished Miami 35-13.

QB Matchup — Jacoby Brissett vs. Brock Purdy

Purdy: 492 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT, 80.4% completions, 125.6 rating.

Brissett has been managing Arizona’s offense, but the Cardinals have struggled to create consistent downfield production.

Offense vs. Defense San Francisco has a major advantage if it can stay balanced with Christian McCaffrey and Purdy. Arizona’s best opportunity is attacking underneath zones and preventing San Francisco’s pass rush from turning Brissett into a checkdown-only quarterback.

2025 Meetings San Francisco won 16-15 in Week 3 and later beat Arizona 41-22.

Key Injuries San Francisco DE Nick Bosa (calf) is out. WR Mike Evans (hip) is questionable. WR Demarcus Robinson (ankle) is out. Ariz: S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (back) is out. DT Roy Lopez (groin) and CB Max Melton (toe) are questionable.

ATS Trends

• 49ers are 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight as favorites.

• 49ers are 6-0 ATS after gaining 350+ yards.

• 49ers are 4-0 ATS after allowing fewer than 15 points.

• Over is 4-0 in San Francisco’s last four as a favorite.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Opening: Minnesota +1.5 | Total 46.5

Current: Minnesota -1.5 | Total 42.5

Minnesota last game: The Vikings won an ugly 9-3 defensive game at rainy Chicago.

Tampa Bay last game: Tampa blew a 16-6 advantage and lost 23-19 to Cleveland.

QB Matchup — Kyler Murray vs. Baker Mayfield

Murray has cleared concussion protocol and will start.

Mayfield has 398 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, completing 71%. Minnesota’s offense should look different with Murray’s mobility restored.

Offense vs. Defense Tampa has allowed seven sacks, and now faces Brian Flores’ pressure package. Minnesota ranks fifth in sack rate; Dallas Turner already has 20 QB pressures. Tampa’s defense must contain Murray outside the pocket while still dealing with Justin Jefferson.

Key Injuries

Minnesota: RB Aaron Jones (knee) limited; C Nick Samac did not practice Thursday; several defenders limited. RB Jordan Mason (thumb) is still out.  Tampa: OLB Rueben Bain Jr. and LB Josiah Trotter have missed practice; Mayfield is fully practicing despite illness.

ATS Trends

• Tampa Bay is 0-11 ATS in its last 11 games.

4:25 PM ET LAS VEGAS RAIDERS AT NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Opening: New Orleans -3.5 | Total 44.5

Current: New Orleans 3.5 | Total 43.5

Las Vegas last game: The Raiders beat the Chargers 26-14 and improved to 2-0.

New Orleans last game: The Saints pulled off an impressive 24-17 win at Baltimore.

QB Matchup — Kirk Cousins vs. Tyler Shough

Cousins: 413 yards, 6 TD, 3 INT, 100.5 rating.

Shough: NFL-leading 662 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT, 68.9%

Offense vs. Defense New Orleans is averaging 305.5 passing yards per game, second in the league. Chris Olave already has 18 receptions for 268 yards. Las Vegas’ defense ranks well overall and has allowed just 13.5 points per game, so this is one of Sunday’s most interesting strength-vs.-strength matchups. Vegas may also attack a Saints defense allowing roughly 136.5 rushing yards per game with Ashton Jeanty.

Key Injuries NO: Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) and Vegas TE Brock Bowers (knee) are the key players who are questionable because they were limited in practice this week.

ATS Trends

• Saints are 8-0 ATS in their last eight games.

BALTIMORE RAVENS VS. DALLAS COWBOYS — RIO DE JANEIRO

Opening: Baltimore -3.5 | Total 53

Current: Baltimore -3 | Total 53.5.

Baltimore last game: Baltimore lost 24-17 at home to New Orleans.

Dallas last game: Dallas beat Washington 37-20.

QB Matchup — Lamar Jackson vs. Dak Prescott

Jackson: 559 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 10.0 yards/attempt.

Prescott: 454 yards, 6 TD, 1 INT, 73.8%, 117.1 rating.

Offense vs. Defense Dallas’ defense has struggled against mobile quarterbacks, which is especially problematic against Jackson. Baltimore must also be careful defensively:

Prescott has been exceptionally efficient and is protecting the ball. Neutral field eliminates normal Dallas home-field adjustment.

Key Injuries Dallas has already ruled out LB DeMarvion Overshown, CB Cobie Durant, S Malik Hooker and S P.J. Locke. That’s a lot of missing defensive personnel against Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens might not have top WR Zay Flowers (hamstring) and LT Ronnie Stanley (toe) has been ruled out.

ATS Trends

• Cowboys’ last eight games are 8-0 Over.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

LOS ANGELES RAMS AT DENVER BRONCOS

8:20 PM ET — NBC Opening: Rams -2.5 | Total 45.5

Current: Rams -2.5. | 43.5

Rams last game: Los Angeles dominated the Giants 28-6 Monday night. Matthew Stafford continues to operate Sean McVay’s passing game efficiently.

Denver last game: Denver beat Jacksonville 20-13 after losing badly at Kansas City in Week 1.

QB Matchup — Matthew Stafford vs. Bo Nix Stafford: 482 yards, 4 TD, 2 INT, 101.9 rating. Nix: 419 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 83.9 rating.

Offense vs. Defense Denver’s best weapon is its pass rush and altitude. If the Broncos can force Stafford off his spot without blitzing, they can keep their secondary intact. The Rams should test Nix with simulated pressure and force him to throw from the pocket.

Key Injuries Rams: WR Puka Nacua is doubtful  Denver: RB J.K. Dobbins is a key injury concern, potentially increasing the workload for rookie Jonah Coleman.

ATS Trends

• Underdog is 7-0 ATS last 7 meetings in this series.

• Rams are 4-0 ATS last 4 while playing on Sunday following a MNF game.
